Printing with ABS
EZ-Stik Hot
Nozzle - 230C
Bed - 100-110C
ABS can be more of a challenge than PLA but if done right can lead to very goodlooking parts. The most important thing about printing ABS on EZ-Stik is that the bed must be at least 100C. If you printer doesn’t have enough power to get that hot, then you will have trouble printing ABS. Also, some type of enclosure is highly recommended. This keeps the air temperature higher and prevents the ABS from cooling and shrinking.
With the proper settings and hardware, printing medium to large ABS parts shouldn’t be a problem. Just make sure the bed is nice and clean before starting the print. Once the part is finished, let the bed cool to room temp and the part should remove very easily.
